does anyone know a place where i can get a really powerful heater?
i really dont feel like buying ten 300w heaters from petsmart.

any help would be great, thanks.

I run two Azoo titanium 500w with inline controllers for 440g total volume. Work great......

Rule of thumb is/was 3w per gallon. But as stated room temp makes a difference. My tanks are in the basement so the heaters work less

Thanks a lot for all the fast responses guy's.

the rooms temp is around 76 degree's

i will do a search on the 500w. thanks.

Two 300 watt jagers heat my 450 total volume no problem.
It is best to go with 2 smaller over one large because heaters almost always get stuck on when they fail. One 300 watt will not over heat a large tank and the chances of both failing at the same time are small

what scares me is that i plan to force a lot of air into my new sump cooling the water more so i figured i would need more.
but so far its a lot cheaper then i thought it was going to be.. i honestly thought i was going to have to buy 5 or 6.

Best to get a external themostat and 2 x 300-500w heaters

You then put the heaters in the sump and the stat sensor in the main tank this works much better
