Yes, I used to have an goldfish bowl. No filter, no gravel, just 1 goldfish and a bowl with water that I changed every day. The goldfish lasted 3 months (Surprisingly long considering I won it by throwing a ball into the fishbowl at a fair in a church parking lol). But it's dead and I never liked fish since.
So I came home last Friday and my dad was like "Guess what, we got a fish tank!" It turns out that one of his friends didn't need it so he gave it to us (my dad says it's a 50g, but I'll measure it later). It came with 3 flounder-like fish and 2 angelfish, half a can of goldfish flakes, 3 fish net thingies, 2 cartons of aquarium salt, tap water conditioner, a bag of gravel, nets, and even medicine and automatic fish feeder lol (sorry if I don't know all of your fish jargon yet). Basically a "Everything You Need to start a Fish Tank and Everything You Don't" kit.
But I didn't really care though, so we just put all the stuff together and my dad went to buy more fish. Then he came home with all these aquarium decorations and what was to me the coolest small freshwater fish I've ever seen. Yeah, you guessed it, a good ol' pleco. Two of them. But then a day later one of them died. Sad, and I don't know why yet, but one things for sure, I've never been more excited about raising, caring for, and showing off a fish tank before. Good to be in a new place with others just like me (except you guys probably already know whether the aquarium wallpaper goes on the outside or inside of the tank loljk).
