I have decided to upgrade my Jack Dempsey tank from a 55g to a 75g. He is around 8-9" after a year and could use the extra space.

My 55g currently has 2 AC70 filters and a 200w heater. I plan to use the AC70's on the 75g as well but was not sure about the heater. I keep the room about 10 degrees cooler than the tank in the winter, but the heater rarely runs in the summer.

Will the 200w heater be enough for the 75g or should upgrade to a 300w?

200W would equal to about 2.6wpg, that should suffice, normally you aim for 2-4wpg so thats fine. it wouldnt hurt to pick up a 250w instead, or just another 50watt heater with it, or..just leave it as is:thumbsup:

yep your good
