Upgrading my pond, big time

Hey guys, so it finally happened. My mom is letting me upgrade my pond this summer. Which means i am going 1000+ gallons and getting around 3 koi and keeping my goldfish. i am relatively new to BIG ponds. My 90 gallon pre-made plastic tub thingie was fine but now it's time to go monster. I would like to do 8 by 10 by 3 feett deep. Plain oval shape with shelves for plants.

How should my filtration be done? i know i need a UV sterilizer. But how many GPH would you recommend. Anything else you can think of would be helpful. I am mainly just concerned about filtration right now.

Forget the UV. Use a skimmer box to house the pump. That then goes into your bio-falls which you fill with lava rocks and water hyacins. Look at aquascapes.com on how to make a natural, effective and clean pond. I will try to post my pics, but I always have trouble. Good luck and don't overstock it to many koi. Probally 1 fish per 1000 gal. is a good rule of thumb.
