My Fishroom
My 25 gallon freshwater has been running nearly flawlessly for several years. I now want to upgrade due to several reasons, a few of which being a mislabeled catfish and needing more room so I can acquire companions for some of my schooling species who have outlasted the rest of their school. I have a few questions.
How can I jumpstart the cycling of the new tank with media from the old one.
The stocking for the current tank is as follows;
-Redtail Shark x1
-Gold Barbs x2
-Female Betta x1
-Zebra Danio x1
-Pristella Tetras x3
-Serpae Tetra x1
-Farlowella Catfish x1
-Horseface Loach x1
-Pepper Cory x1
-Emerald Cory x1
-Glass Catfish x3
-Synodontis Eupterus x1
Given these stockings, can I add the following to the new tank?
-Glass Catfish x3
-Zebra Danios x4
-Serpae Tetras x2
-Pristella Tetras x2
-Pepper Cory x1
-Emerald Cory x1
Thanks!

You really need a 55 or 75 gallon tank with all those fish and the new ones.
I'll let others chime in on the other questions.

Get a 75G tank and you can add all the new fishes in along with all your current stock. Cycling a new tank with old medias but since your current tank media too small for a new tank I would use some biological booster to seed and built new colony faster also cut back feeding in new tank to prevent bio overload, it will take at least 2 weeks to cycle your tank this way, the old school method will take up to 6~8 weeks.
