i have had a slowly growing reef setup for about 6 months now that i would like to move to a larger tank, im thinking move all the aragonite substrate in bags so that it can be easily let out into the new tank without messing up water parameters. then add the old water and add some new to top it off. the fish will have to be reacclimated same with polyps and mushrooms, liverock shouldnt be a problem. should this work without problems?

Yes it will work if you keep the cycled filter on the new tank. I have done it the same way 5 times so far.
