UPS VS ACDC pump.

I'm planning to buy a ACDC pump, the one which automatically switches to dc when electricity is shut off, would it be better to buy a ACDC air pump? or just buy a UPS and connect a powerhead to it? The ACDC pump is almost the same price as the UPS.
Also how long would a 600KVA UPS be able to power a 25 watt powerhead?
 
well I think that AC/DC could definetly beat up a group of UPS drivers. I mean cmon they've got a tour bus and guitars.

were it me I'd go with a pump with it's own battery backup. Most UPS are designed for personal computers and for me I'd worry about any spashing from the aquarium or sump landing on the ups and taking out the power prematurely (providing you have the ups plugged into a gfci)

I have a 1500watt UPS and I love it. I've never used it but I've tested it out and works really well. Have no clue what a ac/dc pump is.

But

But still do the regular AC pump for 24/7 use and then the UPS on a smaller AC one for back up...Just to keep the media alive...
If you need it for more than that, you'll need a back-up generator...
