I have a 55g long and have gotten rid of most of my stock that would outgrow the 55g but I'd like to have an upside down cat are there any that would be okay to live out their life in a 55g?

Which do you have? nigriventris won't get bigger than a couple of inches. It's the most common one.

I haven't bought one yet because I know some stay upside down more than others and I wasn't sure If they'd be okay to live out their life in the 55g. Do you happen yo know which kinda of upside down cat spends the most time actually swimming around upside down? I'll check out those sites now.

i have owned Synodontis nigriventris and Mystus Leucophasis. Both of which stay upside down 100% of the time unless there are feeding on the ground. They will come to the surface and eat upside down which is pretty cool. However, both species are nocternal and they will hide unless there is food in the aquarium.
