How big tank do they need. I did not bother to look at the pet store ones because they are usually always wrong. Anyway, I thought they where neat little guys, very cute and I was wondering how big should a tank for them be?

Please post pics. There are plenty of species sharing the same name. If S. nigriventris, 3-4 inches is max. Mystus leucophasis are more aggressive at 8 inches and over.

The less aggressive one. They get up to 4" and are good in like a community of Tropical fish.

They are much more comfortable in groups. Single specimens do alright. As far as a minimum, lupin feel free to correct me but id say 20/29. Leaning more towards 29 for the group factor.
