So, here's the skinny. We've got a female juvenile Motoro ray (6" disc) that is sticking to the lid of the tank. The tank is dramatically over-filtered, well-cycled and the water params are perfect, even when watched closely after heavy feeding (5ppm Nitrate, Ammonia and Nitrite are at steady 0ppm).
The 125 gallon tank has 2 bubble discs for aeration (the water is inundated with small air bubbles constantly), a Fluval FX5 stuffed with pot scrubbies and ceramic media, A Fluval F204 that powers a 5-gallon bucket filled with 2 gallons of bio-balls, 1 gallon of ceramic biomax, and 2 gallons of pot scrubbies. There is also a rotating powerhead and a fluidized bed filter running sand media rated for a 900-gallon tank.
There are no bothersome tankmates, and I have a fully-automated 1gph drip system set up on it that has been running for quite some time.
Mox (the upside-down motoro) is eating well, and she is showing no other signs of stress.

Has anyone seen this behavior exhibited by their rays before?
