I heard a rumor that turtles die when they are flipped upside down for awhile.
I tried it underwater but he is able to kick himself up.

And right now I tried it in a tub with no water, and after a few minutes he used his NECK to put himself back into the normal position. I felt sorry for him, but I flipped him over again but this time he failed. Can he break his neck by doing this?

I will not flip him upside down again though..

his neck won't break, but yes, it's true, they will suffocate.

Why would you do that? Sounds pointless to me, especially if you don't know if it will live or die.

Your turtle is ever so lucky to come across human kind isn't it... mecury poisoning and then found you! Wonder if it was born on friday the thirteenth.

O.k. i'm sorry. I was just experimenting. will nor take chances again.

How do they suffocate though? when they're upside down? is that why he got himself back up?
