Here is a update on the tank in my room. I have had those gold barbs for 1 year now. The rainbow shark is in there since November 2013. I know i have a algea problem it's because i leave the light on a lot. One barb is bigger than the others i am guessing it's a female. They get a 3' or 2.5/ but they get fatter. I have a spare 75 gallon if the fish outgow this tank.
I know i wanted a fish tank because it's so relaxing but i did not know what fish i wanted. I did not want livebearers,goldfish or tetra. I Kinda like the serpea tetra in large number like 50 or 100 of them.
Barbs grabed my attention i choose gold barb because of their striking yellow color. The rainbow shark have really intense blood-red fins. I've never been able to keep live plants with those guys not even java moss they eat and rip at everything.
