Hi, this is my first post on the site, and it is important. i have 2 3" silver tip sharks in a tank, and the heater broke today. I cant get to the store for a new one, and the temp is already in the high 50's. i have a 55 gallon tank with a 5 inch oscar, would the sharks be seen as feeders or could i put them in? thanks - alex

may be feeders, but if the temp is that low, you risk killing them either way. slowly acclimate them to the 55g
dude it should be okay as long as you make sure that you well feed your Oscar before putting your silver tip shark in Oscar tank.
also u may want to put the lights off so Oscar wont see them straight away and make some hif=ding places for them.

u need a heater fast but keep oscar very well feed like 2 times a day try and get food down 2 the small cats and let them grow and should work out

well, if anyone was wondering, it didnt work out. my oscar killed one, spit it out, killed the other and tried to swallow it, but now he is sitting at the bottom of the tank with a spine sticking out of his head. so now i have another problem, any ideas on this one would be much apreciated.
To bad I didn't catch this thread before... a Simple divider would have gotten the job done.... even a tupperware with some small holes punched in it...
