Evening all,

I have a 90g Fluval 1200 tank which I was prepping before Christmas but never got to finishing it off. Anyhow I'm looking to start again and just need a few pointers....

It has two bulkheads in the base of the tank as so:

Which I intended to run two stright pipes and run a herbie overflow system.

However, would I get better filtration if I ran typical bulkheads in the back of the tank or wouldn't it make any difference??

Thanks

Are you saying the tank is not drilled yet?
The flow rate (tank turnover/ filtration) has to do with the size of the pump, not where the overflows are placed, whether stand pipe or off the back of the tank, does not matter, as long as you don't exceed the capacity of the overflow pipe size.

yeah, it's pre drilled in the floor as per the link so I wasn't sure whether to blank this off and go the overflow box route or whatever whilst it is empty. okay I will crack on as is. thanks
