So i came back home today from soccer to find one of my fished right eyed bulging out with some visible blood in the top of its eye. I deduced that it could be from a popped blood vessel but im not entirely sure. Now he swims as you'd imagine a fish swimming with one eye.

Here are some pics. please help.

What size tank, what frequency of water changes and what are the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels. PH helps, too. It could be bad water causing an infection or it could be an injury. Letting us know your water conditions will aid in that diagnosis.

Nice aquascaping, BTW. I like the log.

amm 0 , NI 0, NA-( finished the test kit) pH -6.5-6.6.
It is a 250L tank. I do water changes weekly of approximately 50L so 20%.

There are other fish in the tank 2 others being the same kind and they seem to be perfectly normal having just fed them(knock on wood). I dont suspect fowl play because my tank has no aggressive fish. Im betting on accidental self injury.

thanks in advace.

Pop eye... Caused by fluid build up in or behind the fishes eye.
Quarantine the fish, and add Epsom salts (1 tbs per 5 gallons), do large water changes daily.
Then try and find Maracyn or Maracyn 2 to treat the infection itself. Good luck

like the poster above stated-isolate the fish. if this wound is open, it could develop into a secondary infection that is fungal, bacterial, etc.. i would treat with aquarium salt and a combo of the Maracyn and Maracyn 2 for a week.

whatever you do, keep your water very very very clean- lots of waterchanges for the little guy..

could have just been fluid buildup behind the eye, but popeye is usually very sudden. it can be difficult to treat as well and can be spread from one fish to all of them. keep an eye on the other tankmates-you may need to treat the whole tank.

btw, i did have a fish that lost an eye due to aggression and he lived a long, happy life.. it took him a few weeks to figure out how to eat again since he was missing one eye, but he caught on..
