Walked into my room today to find my CK spazzing out. It seems like his swim blatter has failed... he can't sit up right and keeps falling over. Also looks like towards the center of his body, it's all concaved... He's pressed himself up against a rock and the side of the tank to make himself sit up straight... any ideas?

Maybe a parasite? Try using some of those parasite medication to see if that helps. If it's his swim bladder, there's nothing much you can do about that.

Did a 50% water change so far... he's calmed down a bit it seems but I can tell he's still not himself totally.... The arowana seems fine, however the shovel nose seems a bit off... This may sound strange but my shovel nose usually sits vertical in the tank up against the glass for some reason... right now he's chilling out horizontal, which is what he should be doing?

Cats may be more sensitive to meds, so take caution when you're medicating the tank. Is it possible to move the CK into it's own tank?

Not really possible anymore...I have a 75 gallon community, and both my 55s are now sumps. I could move him into my 24" bio area of my one sump, but he's about 20" himself so...

After the water changes he's seemed to calm down a lot. Not sure what it was. I'll see how he's doing in a few hours. He still has this sore on the bottom of his jaw though... no idea what that could be... I'll try to take some pics of it.

keep us posted...
