I just looked into my red eye tree frog's cage. he's all brown now sitting the diftwood. i've only had him for 2 dyas now and he's still young. when i got him he was green and now he's brown. is that a bad sign? the temp right now is around 70 and the humidty is around 70(trying to get it up) please let me know asap if it's anything to worry about

oh good.. he's green again.. looks like when i looked in i may have shocked him or something. any other reasons why he could have done that?

he prob needs to be warmer. but im not 100% on that. im not really a frog guy.
how large is his enclosure?

could also be stress. try to limit handling if you are picking it up. and just kinda leave him alone and let him do his own thing for a while.

70 is far too cold, did you do any research before you bought a delicate amphibian!

if you do your research you will find out there is like 3 to 4 different temps people are saying for it. i've done my research and alot saying around 70 for night is ok

70 for at night maybe but not for during the day.

Yeah I would start with raising the temps. They are very delicate and a couple degrees could mean the difference between a happy frog and a stressed frog. A little on the warm side is better than too cold for a tropical species.

Ive kept 100s of them through my job,successfully,70 is too low, hence your frog is brown and stressed.Raise it to 80 and watch the difference....
