URGENT HELP needed guys!

I think my heater broke in my tank. The temperature was up at 91 freakin degrees!! fish are fine, I think I lost my purple monti tho! I have kept the heater off for about 24hrs now and the temp has gone down by about 4 degrees thats it! how can I bring the temp down guys? before I loose all my other stuff...

Also, I'm planning to get a wave maker. I was wondering if my hydor power heads will have any problems with the constant on/off cycles.

ice in a plastic bottle will bring the temp down, it wont alter your salinity either...

agree with the ice in bottles-i would fill some 2 liters, freeze them and float them in the tank-best of luck to your fish!

I did that last night! the temp has come down to 81 degrees! thank god!

Also, anyone has an answer for my second question?

It will wear them out a bit faster, not too much though.
