BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!NEED HELP
Ok I got some pictures of the females skin problem. This started out as what looked like black peeling, then that turned to a whitish color. She is still not eating and I have tried live black worms and her regular food as well. The growth hasnt really gotten much better. The ammonia is 0, nitrites 0, nitrates 15-18. I am still doing substantial water changes but she hasnt shown really any signs of improvement. The male is eating normally, and is not showing any signs of this problem. What is this? Please help. Anything offered would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
In the pictures, the tanish quarter moon below her eyes across back is the "wound" that is not sand.
THERE HAS BEEN AN ONGOING DISCUSSION IN THE STINGRAY FORUM, I AM AGING WATER, USING PRIME JUST TO BE SAFE, PH IS STABLE AT 7, LEVELS ARE GOOD....... PLEASE HELP

That looks like a nasty infection. I would start her on some antibiotics asap.
You can try any of the following:
Jungle laboratories Binox
Tetracycline
Sulfonamide
Maracyn 2

have you put any new fish in the tank. or plants rocks ect. rays do heel up fast but if she will not eat that is a worrie. good luck

Looks like heater burn or a fish has been secretly rasping its back when lights are out. Does the tank have heaters in it and I have not read what fish you keep with this ray. You mentioned a pleco in last thread but did not see anything else listed.
