i have an albino afcrian clawed frog to my horror i came down thish mornin to find him on his back at the bottom of the tank i thought the worst but hes still alive but i had to leave for work (about 11 hours ago) hes seems to have lost all power in his legs so at the moment he is in the fish net resting near the top of the tank i have had him for about four months and hes fully growen my prameters are ph br between 7.0-8.5 ammonia 0.0mg/l nitrite 0.1mg/l so do you think there is any thing i can do ps. hes been eating as normal and nothing in the tank has changed in the last few months

yeah i use a heater the temp is 78 every thing in the tank is as normal i have no idea wot age the frog is all the other fish are fine and he was feeding and looking just fine the other day i just dont understand y his legs have no power at all

red spots on his body suggest a bacterial infection , pics would help .

poor little guy... tell him i said hang in there!

there is a disease called red spot
I dont know much about it other than we have some frogs at work in quarintine that have it and the symptoms are red spots on the legs generally near the knees and the skin is puffed up on their back and they are weak

the spots arent that noticble to be honest nothig apppears to have changed in his looks if he hadnt have been on his back this mornin nothig would have flagged up hes surrvived 12 hours so far its as if his les have been paralysed could it be a stroke ??
