Got in from work, power cut! Back up now don't know how long it was out for but the temp went down to 21-22C. On its way back up now but could it have effected my ray? He's ate a little bit but now hiding in the sand. He was out when I got in but not massively active. Only been in there a day!

Any pointers?

Leave the lights off for a while, he is obviously stressed, it isn't gonna hurt it other then it is cold. As long as the temp is getting back to normal and he is eating all should be well!

I do usually run 4 45w t5 bulbs. As per my last post you replied to could it be these being turned off for a day which had dropped the temp and the heater couldn't keep up?

I doubt that those bulbs throw off that much heat to drop your temp much if any. I thought you said you were out of power?

Well that was my assumption as the cookers clock was flashing (telltale sign). I just wanted to make sure it wasn't that. I'm doing a water change now as the ammonia is just of 0 probably 0.1 not quite the colour for 0.25 so ill add warm water to help it along. I have prime water conditioner so that will help the Ammonia too nitrAte is at 20ppm so seems as though my sump needs to catch up. Don't mind doing water changes every night until it does if I have to

I would be more concerned with the impact on your beneficial bacteria having the power out long enough to drop your temp down. I wouldn't be too worried about the 21-22 temp. I've had rays shipped to me at 15 degrees with no harm to the ray.

A temp drop of one day won't do any harm to the ray. If the temp was prolonged at 21-22 then that would be an issue
