My house
hey guys. So, my uncle has a pond with kois. All of a sudden one of his koi, around 8" went belly up. It's not dead yet, just belly up and breathing hard, rapidly.... all other kois ate doing just find including two three inchers that i just released in from yesterday. Rn it's in a bucket with an airstone. I added salt, stress coat and a couple of ice cube to cool down the water. No the water is not hot at all. Not even warm. Could you guys please shed some light.... thanks ij advance

How big is the pond (gallons)? Any circulation from filtration? It has been quite hot throughout the country including here in SoCal. Sounds like lack of oxygen.

Hard to say exactly what’s going on. Would keep the water low so the koi can right itself up. Would hold on feeding it. Add some Epsom salt 1 tbsp per 5g and add some kanamycin with prazipro. Keep the water pristine. Waiting game at this point. Best of luck with it.

Thank you. Well pond is prob about 8 foot long by 4 foot wide by 3 foot tall. Filtration is an ultima dunno what model. There's an airpump inside. I'll get the stuff tmr and tell him to do a wc! Thank you guys.
