I did a water change today and forgot the water conditioner at first. noticed she was acting funny and added it as soon as I remembered. This has happened before and she did fine after I added the conditioner. This time, she seemed alright and then suddenly turned over and stopped swimming. I have to hold her upright or she goes belly up. I did another waterchange, called to make sure the water company did not change anything on their end of things and I don't know if there is anything else I can try. She is breathing and she moves her eyes. She can move her fins but will not swim or stay upright....anyone have any suggestion at all???

Oh no. I hope she pulls through man:(

I have no advice, but hopefully the experts on fish health will chime in.

BTW, I didn't know that forgetting to add water conditioner at first would have such sudden drastic effects on a fish. Are you sure nothing else may have caused this?

She acted the same way both times I have forgot the water conditioner. She almost seems paralyzed. She moves her eyes and mouth but nothing else. I cant keep holding her up all night....I dont know what else to do but it doesnt look good at all

rig something up like a sling to keep her uprite next to the side of the tank but make it loose enuf so she can swim out if she comes pout of it, but not to loose where she can flip again

She quit breathing...if Ipick her up out of the water she moves her mouth to kind of gasp....otherwise she wont breath on her own

Did you feed her before your WC?

Unfortunately I don't know that there's alot you can do.

No, the last time I fed her was yesterday. I've held her in front of the filter most of this time. I am going to try and rig a sling but I'm pretty sure there is nothing left in her

i hope she gets better man..have you pushed her back and forth through the water to get water through her gills?
