Urgent need of bowfin help PLEASE......

My girl went fishing today and caught a huge bowfin its twice the size of the one I already have lol and she isn't small to say the least will post pics to compare if everything goes smoothly... Now on to my question she let her swallow the hook and IDK what to do I know I cant leave it in I know that much. I cut the steel leader off right at her mouth and I can see the hook its pretty far back and I tried using some long nose pliers to get it out but no such luck. So its still in and she seems to be doing ok I was gonna go to walmart to try and find something a little longer to reach it any suggestions?
And what should I do if I cant get the hook out?

does not sound like a fish that is going to make it. If you cant get it without doing damage then leave it alone and perhaps it will throw the hook itself.

It might be safer to leave it, hooks should rust out after a bit.

be careful when trying to remove the hook, this reminds me of when i was about 11 i caught a bullhead catfish and my buddy rode his bike home with it in his hand and kept it in his fish tank for about 6 months, i never did get the hook out, he cut the line near his mouth and it stayed in the fish the whole time until he released it back in the lake.
