I need help!
I have 2 oscars about 9 inches,4 bristle nose and 4 silver dollers in a 250 liter tank. My 600l is on order, i know i need a bigger one i am waiting for it. i baught the oscars which have apparently been together since they were born. i am told they are about 1 year old. 1 is a tiger oscar and one is an albino tiger oscar. They have been fine together untill now. the albino has started to bite the tiger oscar and is doing alot of damage. there has been no jaw locking just alot of chasing him around. He has lost ALOT of scales and i dont know what to do. I do not have another tank to segregate them in. I need some advice becuase they are my little babys and do not want to lose one. please help

yeah use a tank divider until the larger tank comes in, then add the O that is getting beat up first to the other tank before you add the aggressor so that the less aggressive O has a better chance of being the dominant fish in the tank, but yeah they are definitely on the small side for being a year but they should be alright once in the larger tank

I had to try tough love and let em battle it out with my Oscar's. I had a 125 and a 75 with 3 oscars, 2 of them had to be together no matter what. Lucky for me they ended up fine and are now living peacefully in a 320 gallon.

when a diveder is no possibility, you may try to rearrange the tank decorations, to change their territory.
This may help in some cases, because the o's will have to make their own territory again.

If that will not work, you may try using a time out net.
Catch the bully and place him in a large enough net, but keep him in the same tank.
This way the bullied fish can take over the whole territory, while the bully has to watch that happening.
Keep the bully in the net for 4-6 hours, and then release him back into the tank.

If issues still continue,, rehoming one of the fish may be your only option.
IMO the lack of space in your current tank, may be the cause of the aggression, and getting a bigger tank may change the whole situation at once.
How long before the biggun arrives?
