Well while i was at work one night my dad thought it'd be a good idea to feed my fish, so he went out and bought 108 feeder gold fish from petsmart... :irked: . Its the thought that counts. So he tells me this and i come straight home after work.. I look into my tank and all seem fine, round bellies n all. Next day my tank brakes out in ich, ( 82* recomended salt is always in this tank ). But The Pbass who ate most of the fish, are the only ones who have it, now there starting to get fungus on their heads. So I moved the 5Pbass into my 180gallon the temps 84* and I added salt. its not getting better is there anything else I can get for this>?

actually, when using a salt and heat treatment, the ich will visually get worse before it gets better. the heat speeds up the lifecycle, causing all the ich on the fish to get big and obvious to the naked eye very quickly. soon the ich parasites will drop off and the salt will kill them while they are free-swimming in the water. give it two weeks to work before you put them back in the other tank. as for the fungus, you may want to go with pimafix or jungle brand fungus tablets. you need 1 tablet per 10g though. i have found that they work very effectively.

Thanks. I dont know if its fungus or just a big splotch if thick ich. I'll keep up the clean water and temp and let you all know how it goes.

sorry about that man. that blows. keep us updated.
u know what ur doing, im sure they'll all recover asap!

its at 84 without a heater. shouldn't be to hard, i'm going to work so i'll be picking up some more aquarium salt ( I ran out ).

ich is getting horrible, all over his body now, and the eyes are starting to turn white.... Gona do a 20% w/c add some more salt and bump the temp up some more.

Make a 50% water change to get rid of some of the crap in the water...and diminish the salt cause I dont know how much salt you have in there....Jack up the temp to 88º-90º, and add the recommended dose of salt for your gallonage. Increase aeration, and if you dont have a U.V, try and get one hooked up. Keep the tank dim for the next few days and keep a close eye on your fish....
