Hi guys just turned the 350g on with sump,my first one,its fitted with 2 weirs.with dursos in with a lot of bubbling from the outlets into the sump which is not the main problem, when I turned off the pump and two valves in the drains, the pipe going from the pump up into the tank is siphoning back into the sump, obviously not a good thing if we have a power cut, help!

Put check valves on those pipes going into the tank... Or move the outlets high enough so that it siphons only a little/what the sump can hold

Ok guys il try the small hole first,6mm big enough?

I've drilled the pipe and it seems to work, still siphoning for a few minutes but does stop, going to drill another hole, will this help, also the outlets are bubbling and.it sounds like there is air in the pipework below the tank, the dursos sound quiet,do I need to drill a bigger hole in the top of the durso, currently its 6mm,and the water level is level with the top of the street ell,not in the centre like I've read its supposed to be?
Thanks guys for your help so far.

Steve

can't help you with the other questions but my guess is the air in the pipewrok will clear once it's been running for a while?

Ok cheers,I hope it does lol.

Anybody else.got any ideas about the bubbles and water level problems described above?
