Hello everyone, my dad has been raising fishes for years now and never really experienced any diseases (maybe some minor ones but nothing noticeable) but then a month or two ago these things (LOOK AT THE LINK ON THE BOTTOM FOR PICTURES) starting growing on my fishes. I don't understand what they are, I thought they were icks but then this is an entire patch of white spot not just tiny white spots. There are also black formations of the faces on my fishes.

I have blood parrots and my dad has been changing the water, raising the temperature and adding salt, nothing seems to be working. Every other day I see a fish die and I want that to stop. Can someone please tell me what my fishes have and what I can do to help them?

*I have approximately 50+ gallon tank, I only took them in such a little corner because they tend to hide together in groups when they're scared.

I appreciate ANY help I can get, I just want the fishes to live, thank you.

Lower the temp back down and treat with kanamyacin and nitrofurazone. not sure what that is almost looks like a heater burn

Looks like columnaris. Do a Google images search for "columnaris fish ulcer" and see if they match what you're seeing.

Columnaris is ubiquitous in aquariums and any open wound has a good chance of it taking hold.

Among the antibiotics commonly used for pet fish, columnaris is susceptible to erythromycin (Maracyn One), kanamycin, and oxytetracycline. It is resistant to sulfa drugs.

Agree with squint, columnaris. It is a gram-negative bacteria. Maracyn and Maracyn-Two could be used simultaneously if the infection gets for severe.
