Should be alright. A lot will disagree but look at where these fish come from. The stream and rivers most of these fish come from flood constantly especially in rainforest's and its got more mud and junk floating in it than any tank you'll ever see.
That's the way I look at it. They are in buckets right now and have been for a while and I don't want to lose any by leaving them in the buckets but I also don't want to put them in the tank and kill them either.
depends on the fish and how "cloudy" the water is....
fish breathing sand "dust" floating in water is a lot like people breating sand "dust" in a sand storm..... it may be fine for some guy thats harder than a coffin nail... but for yer grandmother it might just kill her.......
I did wash it but it is a sand like argonite...I ran water in the bucket till it was looking clear but once I started stirring it up putting it in the tank it turned very milky/cloudy. This is my first time using this stuff so I don't know, I have since heard arogonite is harder and takes longer to clear up then sand.
