Hi all!
I have an "unusual" deal in mind....but maybe I can find some like me, who have snakes and fishes and are interested in what I am thinking (??)
I am interested in 5-6 species of snakes that I can not get here (Uruguay) and that I need for my expo....and what I am offering is; to receive an small import of snakes from USA and pay with uruguayan wild caught fishes.
Of course, "the deal" will mean that I send a bigger ammount of "money" (in fishes) that I get in snakes.....and thats ok for me because I am looking for species that are impossible to find here.
The "good" thing is that the species I am looking for, are easy to find in the states.....but the fishes I can send are very rare.
Ok...if I dont try...I will never know!
I hope I can find someone who are interested in that ?
(sorry for my english!!, I promise that the fishes are in a much better quality than it!!)

I'll move this to the buy and sell area... what snakes were you after?

Ohhhh.....sorry!!!

I am looking for;
1)Boa constrictor (not the occidentalis or imperator that we easy can find here) (babies/juveniles 6 to 10 + 1+1 adults)
2) Python curtus (brongersmai) (1+1 juveniles)
3) Morelia viridis (just 1)
4) Elaphe (ortriophis) taeniura friesi ( 2+2 juveniles)
5) Elaphe schrenckii ( 2+ 2 juveniles)
6) something more that can be fun/nice to show at expos

The fishes I can send are all the uruguayan species that I use to collect;
catfishes, livebears, cichlids (pikes, gymnos, australoheros, cichlasoma, apistos, geos), tetras (Hoplias the 3 species we have, barracuda, pseudocorynopoma, aphiocarax, charax) etc, etc

The deal?....I dont know....something reasonable for both....like that I pay for the shipment of the snakes, the person who get the fishes pay for that shipment.....and of course.....if I get (exempel) 2000u$ "in snakes"....I will send much more than that amount in fishes!!!!
(and of course....very rare fish and very high quality!!!)

Deal of a life time right here folks...

I believe Felipe is the only person who has the permits to collect fish in Uruguay. All the Uruguayan fish Ken (FishFarm) has were collected with Felipe.

I don't keep snakes, but if I did I'd be all over this.

Good luck!

Well....I hope I can find some.
I know that the species I am looking for are quite easy to find over there....and some of them are not expensive.
The reason why I offer "more money" in fishes than I get in snakes is simpel; because if someone wants to do an import of my fishes....then its much easier to buy them than "pay" with snakes....so thats why I offer more fishes....so the deal can be better for the other person.
On the other side....to offer more fishes (more money) than snakes, its the only way for me to find/get those species.
I dont know how diff. its to get CITES in the USA? , I mean for the pythons and boas? (the chinese and russian snakes dont need them).

im guessing he's a known name then?? if so, and i knw im dealing with a reputable person, im pretty sure i could do this. i have an extremely reputable reptile dealer/breeder near me that can get pretty much anything if he dosent already breed them.

hafta think about this one.....

We are working with the new site so unfortunately I dont have (yet) so many pictures of "other fishes".....but a lot of cichlids; www.aqvaterra.com
Old shipments to the USA ( 3 times to Jeff Rapps, I think the last one was 2003?) and 1 to Ken Davis (2 months ago).
Then we did 3 to Sweden (last one 2004), 1 to Danmark 2005 and 2 to Germany, last one for 6 months ago.....so most of our fishes are not common in the market....we have never sent all the species we have (cichlids) and just a very few species of the other (catfishes, tetras, livebears,etc,etc).
