US fish and wildlife

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hahaha, read the comments, some people wrote some funny stuff... however some people signed it and they seemed to be against the importation of asian aros... i dont think they read it through

US is a pioneer in R&D in every feild. Permitting the importation would help study this extinct species and give more value by increasing its popularity and breeding.

HAHA! Extinct?? WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN!?

the govt. is gonna think we're too stupid to take good care of asian aros... we're screwed

I know. It does sound like a bunch of retards. This is my favorite...

"They are so pretty. I feel good when I see them. My loins ache to have them brought into our country. Who cares if they are almost extinct in the wild setting of Asia because they breed many different hybrid, cross bred species now."

or this one:

509. gamini I would like to learn fish breading (get a cook book! :))

or

412. Rick Winkler pass it, we get them through canada anyways.

This was my favorite:

USA pride themselves a "democratic society" but by putting a ban on the CITES approved farms for Asian Arowanas does not practice what the country believes in. Injustice being done to fans of Asian Arowana who happen to be residing in USA, so call "land of strong advocate of human rights!". Where is the "rights" ?

Not being able to own an endangered species is an "injustice" and a violation of "human rights"? :screwy:

Here's how the democracy works: The Endangered Species Act was enacted by a Congress and President that were elected through the electoral process. The elected President and his appointees oversee the administration of the Endangered Species Act, including the listing of Asian arowanas in 1976, and the adoption of regulations and policy governing the enforcement of the Endangered Species Act.
