US forces 'lure Iraqis with bait'

"US Army snipers in Iraq are ordered to "bait" areas with explosives and ammunition and then kill whoever picks them up, according to court documents. The classified programme is described in statements disclosed by lawyers for three US soldiers accused of planting evidence on Iraqis they had killed.
It is unclear how widely the tactic may have been used in Iraq or how many people may have died as a result of it.
The US army has declined to confirm whether the "baiting" policy exists";

I am completely against this, just because someone takes some ammo or a gun they find lying on the ground doesn't mean they're gonna go kill american soliders with it- they could be taking the ammo or guns to sell it on (since people are so poor and desperate for money in this war-torn country now days), or could be taking it to keep it for themselves to use as weapons of self defence (because crime, like murder, rape and looting, has got completely out of control since the government and law enforcement broke down since the war started) etc.



It reminds me of how nazi's would leave sweets like toffee out as bait for jews and shoot them as ran to grab it.

Not proud to be a US citizen, after all the BS in the middleeast, i say leave them all alone, we have nuclear weapons so who are we to say no one else can have them. I dont care about anyone winning, the lost war. I think the whole scenario is pathetic, but i still give respect to all the soldiers fighting.

Both of you should talk to the troops instaed of reading foreign news reports.... I have to wonder why you take what other countires news orgs have to say as tghe truth and everything that the US gov has to say as a lie?

Please don't start telling me how Bush lies about everything. If Clinton wasn't a lier then Bush can't be a lier..... at least Bush knows what "it" is.

One denied having sex the other lied about what his purpose is .... hmmmmmm Id rather someone deny they were getting sex rather than trusting the moron who is squandering my tax dollars down the toilet. Personal opinion and thats whats great about this country! So ill keep my citizenship and keep complaining about how crappy this president is... after all its my right I should exercise it. Why is it when a Dem does something wrong it was a mistake but when a rep does the same thing it's a crime?

Clinton lied under oath.

I didn't blane him for not admitting the sex at first but once he was cought he should have owned up to it.
