Hi i have used zeolite to control ammonia in my koi pond especially in spring after the long winter, i would like to know is it safe to use with rays as zeolite can be recharged by soaking in a saline solution would the recharged zeolite affect the rays in any way.

Thinking of using zeolite for new introduction of ray to reduce ammonia spike incase the filters can't catch up with the new introduction.

Thanks

How big is the ray, what size is the tank and what are you currently filtering with? Zeolite will be ray safe but if your worried about your filters not handling the spike I'm worried things may to be small in you system. Not trying to be a jerk just want some moe info to help you.

dont use it.... just cycle the tank properly and use nothing but bio media

^^^X2. If you are concerned with the bio load but have adequate filtration, just increase the bio media.
