Use up these low quality foods or toss?

I decided to post this to the forum as I keep debating it on and off in my head. Prior to getting back into this hobby and studying the threads on here, I bought these cheap foods.


Short version:
I have a bunch of the cheap, low quality foods around still. Should I just use them up or toss them? If I should keep using, should I still mix in the new higher quality foods or just use these up as quickly as possible? Thanks.

Extra info:

In the future I plan on feeding mostly NLS, with some hikari sinking carnivore, frozen foods and Repashy (the pleco likes it) thrown in.

The problem is I have an unopened TetraColor Tropical Granules and about 3/4 a container each of Tetramjn tropical flakes and TetraColor Plus Tropical Flakes (friend hmgave me the rest of hers when she got rid of her fish). These are the big 7.06 and 10.58 containers.

On the one hand, I fed these low quality foods for years and I have two clown Loaches and a Hypostomus Pleco that are over 20 years old. I guess they did fine these foods. On the other hand, I have NLS in stock and these are just $10 bottles that are going to take months to use up.

Should I just use these up even if it takes 6-10 months or should I toss them? I've been feeding NLS and other stuff as well so it's taking even longer to get rid of these flakes since I'm not feeding it every day.

My vote is to mix them with a little water and some high quality food and make them into wafers for your fish.

I realized I should list what fish I have:
125g:
1 xHypostomus
2 x5"+ clown Loaches,
4 x3" clowns
5x Dority's rainbowfish

QT tank:
7xmillenium rainbowfish
5xpanda garra

Just do this before I drop in for a feeding?

Nah, if you mix them with a little water and other stuff and then feed them right after they'll fall apart. I'd give then about an hour, maybe 2.

Oh I would rotate it in weekly feeding.

Yeah, they aren't past expiration date on cans. I'm not sure how long I've had them open though.

The only other issue is there's probably 6 times the volume of these low quality flakes versus the small jar of NLS I have. If I feed this junk once a week it might last another year.

Edit:
If you look at the pic in the original post, the little jar with the blue cap is the NLS. The 3 Tetra bottles are like 80%+ full.

Freeze it. I have a gallon of nls pellets that I froze as soon as I got it. Forgot it for a few years and the expiration date came and passed but it's still good.
