Is $240 a good price for a used 100G Long 72x18x18? I am needing a bigger tank for my bichir's ASAP and found one locally, it is All-GLass brand. Thanks.

it depends how much tanks go for in your area. i bought a 100long with stand for 250 and i love it. 100longs i believe arent regularly made anymore so maybe if you could snatch it up for 175$ id say go for it.
Man, I really hate hearing this. I wanted this to be a good deal. I wish the LFS wouldn't try and shaft me on all the stuff. Every last one of them locally are overpriced.
Prices vary with the location...here in Socal we have a ton of tank manucfacturers and LOADS of stores in the middle of price wars...Shipping something like a glass tank costs a bit of coin...
Still...the general rule of thumb with used tanks is... $1.00 to $1.50 per gallon for glass and $2.00 to $2.50 for acrylic... add extra for any accesories.

Well I gave up on them, and called another store that normally does me worse. They have on 350 with glass tops and lights, or 175 for just the tank. So I am gonna go look at it tomorrow and hopefully have a new home for my poly's.
