Used filter media

Hey guys, newcomer from Orlando here. I'm starting up a 40 gallon breeder for my kids, wink, wink. I've been out of the hobby for a while and my kids are my excuse to get back in. Anyways, I'm looking to see if there are any responsible fish keepers (which is why I'm looking here) that would be willing to give me some old filter media to kick off my bio filtration. Would even pay a little if need be. I have a canister filter on its way right now and would really like to be able to add fish soon. This is the only real option for doing so w/out hurting any fishes. Thanks all, Lance.

Hey glad ur getting back in the hooby...incase u dnt get used media....get this bacteria called (special blend) its great its bacteria.to cycle your aquarium instantly ik alot of people on here are nt a fan of it...but I ordered fish before I was suppose to so I needed.to get cycled asap..i used the special blend as directed on my old 125 worked perfect I added a redtail cat hybrid and massive angel fish to my setup..then converted them to my 220 gallon ive had 0 losses and im housing 4x 11-13 inch florida gars angel fish redtail x shovelnose hybrid with a silver arowana...and there perfect!
