Hi, I purchased a used tenecor aquarium it is 71"Lx30"Wx32"H. It is made with 1/2" acrylic and the top brace is 1". All the seams look good besides this one in the bottom right corner. I have leaked tested it and holds water good there is a decent amount of bowing on the front and back panels when full. Just trying to get some opinions on this Seam.
Sounds like a nice tank. Easy to reinforce with weld-on 40, using the tilt and pour method. I would do it all. I am no expert by did just that following advice from Wednesday13 here. It worked great and it is peace of mind.
I can't judge the extent of the damage, but in any case there is no way I would personally ever take that chance that it wouldn't suddenly burst one day. Unless I was keeping it outdoors. But maybe someone here can tell what level of damage you're dealing with and advise differently.
I've repaired a 100gal sump (runs with about 60 gallons of water) with Weldon #4 last year. But that included added a couple braces on top and sections of acrylic in the corners I purchased from a local shop. Now my sump looks like frankenstein but is holding strong. My first thought is that a 295 gallon aquarium is a much different animal that what I worked on. And it has to still look nice at the end.
