Used XP3 or New XP4?

A buddy of mine is planning sell me either a brand new XP4 w/ new packaged Fluval media and carbon for $130 or a used xp3 completely filled w/ media for $50.

Which one should I choose? I plan to use these items towards a new 180 gallon tank in which I plan to transfer my already running xp3.

If you are using your current xp3 in addition, I would buy the other xp3. At $50 thats a great deal...

I would do the XP3 also, it's a screamin deal at $50. The XP4 is a great deal too though.

I would too but he plans to keep one! Either are tempting but I'm starting to lean towards to the used xp3

XP4 for that sized tank.... Though ive heard varied results I would still entrust the XP4

With media and tubing both have flow rates around 190 gph.
