I didn't plan on this and my female is carrying eggs and ready to drop them.Is it o.k to go ahead and use gravel vac before she drops eggs ?
By the way I'venever bred fish before so this will be my first.

If she has eggs and made a pit on one side i just wouldn't vac that side. ex. my convicts did alot, and when they were rdy i just didn't vac that side.

What do you mean by carrying eggs and ready to drop? are these the only fish in the tank? i would just vac one side. is this their first spawn? usually unless complete newbs gravel vaccing and most thing wont cause them to eat their fry. they might move them though. i know my angels move their bunch everytime i gravel vac.

Her belly was huge and the egg tube was out.She just laid the eggs about 3 hours ago. There are 3 other fish in there with her not including the male.If I gravel vac Other side of tank that will scare the other fish to other side and accidentally scatter eggs around, same if I try to catch them in put in other tank and this is their first spawn, only had male for a week.

you could always do the egg crate divider. unless you severly over feed you can do without vaccuming and just do smaller frequent water changes without vaccuming.
