using heater in cooler

planning to use cooler to transport fish & need to keep water somewhat warm
i'm assuming if the glass stays out of contact with the container, it should be fine

any opinions?

It should be fine either way. 70-80 degrees isnt very hot

I fill my coller with warm water before hand that way I know it will hold temp for a few hours

Probably wasn't specific enough, the fish will be swimming in the cooler and not floating inside bags. Battery operated pump and cigarette lighter power inverter for the heater.
