So I've diagnosed that my silver aro officially has fin rot and now today I see that one of his eyes has signs of becoming cloudy. So my question is how much of a dosage of melafix should I use (full recommended/half/etc) and what should I use to treat his cloudy, or soon to be cloudy eye. Any advice is appreciated.

I do full dosage with both melafix and pimafix at same time. Only problem that I've experienced with my aros is a loss of appetite.

How did you do that officls diagnose? Is it alone in the tank? Can you show us some pix?

Its not alone it has 3 JD tank mates. Originally the fins were ripped and one the rips did heal fully and I thought it was nothing then the others rips starting to get worse (widened) all of a sudden and where the rips are blood clots are forming. My cousin has my camera but I'll try to get it back today.

is it safe to drop ich meds (for my JD) while i have melafix cycling in my tank?

Use salt to treat ich, this will aslo benefit the cloudy eye. Up the temp to 84 degrees and add one tblespoon per 5 gallons of water, do your regular weekly water changes and add enough salt for the new water added. Continue treatment at least two weeks even if signs of ich are gone.

Make sure to use aquarium salt and not marine salt.
