I'm going to be building an indoor pond, wondering if melamine is alright to use as the main structure of it - with 2x4 ribs across as support, and a pond liner inside.

Or should I stick with 1/2" marine plywood? There is a pretty steep price difference.

Nothing?

I know some one on here has made an indoor pond, or at least used some sort of wood as a frame for a pond liner - what did you use and how long has it held water for without incident?

The particle board interior or melamine is very week, even more so with the lower end melamine you can guy at Home Depot and similar places.

I would think you could find a cheaper plywood at a similar price that would be much better.
