I had a big eheim pro 2 filter set up in a 55 gallon tank that I took down some time ago.
I have recently cleaned out the tank and started the cycling process, but was curious about the filter media. I use Efhi mech and efhi substrat. I took the filter apart and rinsed the old media, changed the filter pads, etc.
Everything looked normal and it operates fine, except there is some stuff in the green tubing, mabye algae or something, hopefully not mold. It sort of looks black, but that happened when it was filtering the old tank too.
Am i look at any other issues using this old filter?
