using once live sand in a cichlid tank

I am switching my reef tank over to a all male cichlid tank(african) and I know the ph can be higher for these fish.

My question is, if I want to reuse the sand that's live now, if I rinse it really good and do a few water changes and then ad some prime will I be ok to house fish in the tank?

Yes, it's more than fine. Just give it a good cleaning to get all the old gunk out

I agree, I've used it several times in the past with no problems.
