I want pellet train my 5-7 temensis. Right they are eating blood worms and feeders once a week. I've heard of people putting a pellet trained pbass to train the others as they seem to follow eachother in a school. I was wondering if this would work a juvenile oscars that seem to eat any and everything. Would the pbass consider it part their school and follow suit? What you think ? Any suggestions?

My kelberis would just eat soaked pellets.

I dont know if they were necessary, but the Oscars helped I think.. Since they saw the oscars eating it, they started becoming curious, coming close to the floating pellet, and finally they eat it, I could see that wasnt easy to eat that hard pellet at first moment, but then they got used of it.

Hardhead, its good, comptetition is always good in it.. Eat or starve, they choose.

I got all my cichla on pellets now. I just had to take my oscar out of my growout tank. He grew FAST and ate like a pig. He is 8" now and steals from my 10" azuls

This is how I pellet train some of my pikes. Put them with other pikes/fish that are already hitting the pellets hard, and the eventually get it. While it seems to work best when its other pbass/pikes respectively, they do still learn from other fish. I got my orinos to take pellets from watching my tiger silver dollars hitting them. LoL
