I was shopping around trying to find out if I should turn my UV while using melafix and pima fix on my 90 gallon when I found some ads for the pond version its much cheaper. Is there any reason not to use it for aquariums??

Also FYI turn off your ozone or UV during the use of almost any medication other than salt.

The concentrate is 5 times stronger so be careful you don't overdose.

pond meds and dechlor etc.. are just super-concentrated versions of what we use in a tank. they can very easily be used in smaller tanks, you just need to do a bit of math and break down the reccomended dose to fit your tank size.

Thanks guys!

I believe you might want to turn off your UV.

I've overdosed on melafix with no issues just be a little more careful on the pond version but shouldn't be a problem.

You were just lucky then. Melafix and pimafix will deplete the oxygen levels in the tank. Overdosing is a good way to kill off your fish
