Since the search function on this site is useless (in comparsion to a few months back), do you guys use Rubbermaids for producing feeders such as guppies and convicts?

i have used rubbermaids to house feeders (goldies) both storage and stocktank RM's. make sure you have big filtration.

I have used rubbermaid for everything from water changes to raising large batches of apisto fry. Rubbermaid+$15 heater+huge air pump ganged to sponge filters equals great stock tanks. If you want to go all out and cut holes and silicone tubing with ball valves to it, water changes are a breeze. I had plans to do that, but it never came to fruition.

me i use those big plastic basins that they use in fish markets

I used them too. Work really well. You can even go HOB filter if you just cut a hole in the side. It fit pretty well. I just hid mine in my closet in the bathroom. That thing got dirty fast from being packed....so I liked being able to bring water in fast-like.

Flame me, but years ago I had a 15 gallon rubbermaid with probably 30 goldies in it with no filter or heater...the catfish i had died (probably from the feeders) and the feeders lived for months

I've used rubbermaids for everything from growing out fry to a "timeout" tank for crazy fish. As long as theres a heater and something to filter the water you should be good

i wish i had the space for a rubbermaid it would help soooo many problems
