Using salt regularly with every water change?

Hello,

I’ve read and heard you should not use salt on scaleless fish, but does anyone uses salt regularly with every water change with stingray in the tank…1 tablespoon for 5 gallons of water? I just got 40 lbs of rock salt that I want to start using instead of the API salt.

i would not recommend salt on a day to day basis.

What would be the point of salt on a general basis though? Whats your reasoning in maintaining a salinity level on a regular basis?

No reason on using it with every water change, I just got bulk bag of rock salt and I thought it might be good to use everytime. but if it does not do the fish any good, I won't use it then unless the fish is sick.

You're trying to make things way too complicated. Remember the K.I.S.S. method. Keep everything as simple as you can and do only what you must.
