Hello all. I have a 150 gallon tank coming any day now, and I have purchased two 250W Ebo Jager heaters for it (since I usually try and have 3W per gallon on my tanks).

what is the best way to set them?

set them both at the same temp? that way both come on when needed?

or should I set one slightly above the other?

not sure. I have never had a tank this big, so its the first time I am using two heaters on on setup.

thanks.

You'll love the ebo's. I have the same two on my 180. I set them for the same temperature, but I didn't use a micrometer or anything so one always comes on first, plus its possible that the two ends of the tank cool differently.

Set them both for the same temp at opposite ends of the tank. This way one doesnt do all the work.

I have two, 250-watt Stealth's on my 150 gallon, one on each end, both set same temp, been working well for a long time now.
