I currently have two 125g tanks that i want to connect with a 55g wet/dry sump. Each tank currently already has one Biowheel with 400gph turnover, Eheim 2217 canister filter with a 13w UV sterilizer. My plan is to run a hose from Tank A to Tank B from Tank B to the sump and from the sump back to Tank A. Im just going for a little more turnover rating. Besides the fact that disease can spread to both tanks this way does anyone see a problem with this?

As long as the 2 tanks are the same height all you need is one large PVC "bridge" with an aqualifter to keep air out of it. If you run the overflow on one tank and return the water in the other tank you've got an instant central system. Just be sure the water level doesn't drop too much when the power fails, the last thing you would want is for that siphon between the two tanks to fail.

You can also just add an overflow to the second tank and split the return from the sump.

Yea i didnt even think about spliiting the return to both tanks. I think that would definitely help with power outages. thanks
